Our emerging designs

The concept plan for the site has been informed by the site’s context, opportunities and constraints:

• Development has been set back from Egley Road with the retention and enhancement of the existing boundary vegetation providing a green edge to the proposals and providing visual separation between Mayford and Woking.
• Apartments are positioned adjacent to the railway set back from the existing vegetation
• Residential blocks within the scheme are of a domestic scale and sit comfortably within the site’s topography.
• Residential blocks are set back and face away from the site’s northern boundary, to ensure a positive relationship with existing properties. Existing vegetation will be retained and enhanced.
• The care home accommodation is positioned on the lower land in the north-eastern corner, in the part of the site most visually contained by mature vegetation.
